Mgr. Miroslav Horňák, Ph.D.

Head of the Laboratory

Miroslav studied Molecular Biology and Genetics at the Masaryk University in Brno and completed his PhD in General and Molecular Genetics in 2010. He works as a molecular geneticist at the Veterinary Research Institute in Brno. He mainly deals with the genetics of farm animals in order to maintain their health. He has published several scientific papers in the field of genetics and is actively involved in the development of new genetic testing techniques.

Mgr. Hana Hradska, Ph.D.

Molecular biologist

Hana earned her degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Masaryk University in Brno in 2011. Driven by her deep interest in genetics, she went on to complete her PhD in General and Molecular Genetics in 2015. During her time at the Research Institute of Veterinary Medicine in Brno, she focused on livestock genetics while also contributing to human genetics research projects.

Outside of her scientific career, Hana has a strong passion for dog sports, particularly agility. She competes actively with her two poodles.

MVDr. Vlasta Linková

Veterinarian

Vlasta is a successful graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Department of General Veterinary Medicine. She received the “Diagnostic methods in clinical genetics ” certificate in 2005. She is focused on cytogenetics and genetic diseases of humans and animals. She is also a lover of dogs, especially Rhodesian ridgebacks.
