Vizsla is a versatile hunting dog made for long days in the field. For centuries, these elegant athletes have been the pride of Hungarian sportsmen and their popularity as a breed is growing every year. The Vizsla is easily recognized by its slender build and golden rust-coloured coat. They can measure 21 to 24 centimetres at the shoulders. Vizslas are sensitive and affectionate family companions and are very agile at work. As a hunter expected to work closely with humans, the vizsla forms a strong bond with its owner and hates to be left alone. Vizslas are athletes of many talents, excelling in a variety of sports and activities.
It is a neuromuscular disease causing a gradual muscle weakness on the hindlimb and back, which is manifested by poor coordination of movements, cramped and asymmetric walking, or incontinence.
